Point guard Dominic Artis decommits from UCLA
The Sporting News reports:
UCLA is hoping 6-8 point guard Kyle Anderson can have a major impact on the Bruins when he arrives in the fall of 2012, but it looks like he’s already had an effect on their recruiting class.
Point guard Dominic Artis, who committed to UCLA in July, announced Wednesday he is reopening his commitment – roughly two weeks after Anderson made his decision to join the Bruins.
"We just felt like he made kind of a quick decision," Derrick Artis, Dominic’s uncle and summer coach with the Oakland Soldiers, told Scout.com. "He committed before July was over and we just want to make sure we're doing the right thing. We still love UCLA and they're still at the head of his list.
"We just want to make sure we're making the right decision. We never really let the recruiting process happen, so we just want to make sure we dot our I's and cross our T's."
