What people also don't realize is that the Cavs defense made it so he didn't always need a big scorer next to him. It seems that most see names on paper or read their stats and say Lebron did it by himself while completely ignoring that there's more than offense.
In game 3, he had 3 teammates score in double figures as Ilgauskas, Gooden and Pavlovic combined for an efficient 41 points, more than enough support with Cleveland holding Detroit to 82 points.
In game 4, Gooden had 19/8 and Gibson came off the bench and scored 21 points on 4/7 from the field and 12/12 from the line and Cleveland's defense held Detroit to 87 points on 41% shooting.
Admittedly, Lebron didn't get much support in game 5, that was a legendary performance.
In game 6, Cleveland's defense held Detroit to 82 points on 36% shooting and Gibson came off the bench and scored 31 points on 7/9 from the field, 5/5 on 3s and 12/15 from the line. Ilgauskas also had a double double in 23 minutes.
I don't know why people act like Cleveland winning that series was solely because of one man. It almost was in game 5, but Cleveland's defense was huge and Gibson came up big.
