That's a false stat. And this is Kobe's 16th season in the NBA, so age doesn't tell the story of the wear and tear. Kobe is also as banged up as you can be without missing time.

    ACTUALLY jordan by age 32 averaged 30.4ppg ( with 4 assists )

    jordan by age 33 averaged 29.6ppg ( with 4 assists )

    kobe by age 33 averaged 30.3ppg ( with 6 assists )

Jordan missed practically the entire 85-86 season

he missed the entire 93-94 season

he missed 80% of the 94-95 season

this means jordan did his 29ppg @ 33 years old in basically his 10th full season

and had 3 years to rest his knees

while kobe has played atleast 80% of all the games in a season and never had any breaks to rest

Jordan turned 33 near the end of the 1995-96 season.

And a better comparison would just wait until Kobe finish the season. Even though Jordan would play more games than Kobe this season, it will still balances out.

If you guys are can't help yourselfs and want to compare Kobe to Jordan, you should do it right and compare it game by game. Kobe played 12 total games. Compare Jordan with 12 total games as well.

And technically, Jordan average 29.6 ppg after 12 games in his 96-97 season when he started off the season at 33 years old (his average for the season as well). Jordan I think was more efficient than Kobe, but meh. It's not important until the end of the season. The averages would go up and down at each given game. Like Jordan after 17 games, in the 96-97 season, averaged 32.4 ppg at 50% shooting. But that doesn't matter since his ppg went down at the end of the season.

Same with Kobe. It's great to be excited about it, but we'll see if Kobe could keep it up. But it's bad to compare a player who average for a whole 82 games to someone who has played only 12 games. It's tough to not compare, but it's not really a fair comparison when you do that.

Even then, Jordan would have played more games than Kobe and Kobe would play more back to back to back games. So, there are little differences here and there.

Yeah. It's a difference of 1 FGA per game.

    4 assists in 96

    4 assists in 97

    and

    3 assists in 98

kobe has 6 assists per game with his 30 points

Why does this matter? MJ is regarded has the Goat and Kobe is somewhere in top 7-10 al-time. 33 year old Kobe matching 33 year old MJ means noting. MJ stats,Mvps, defense,FMVps,playoffs stats etc... Destroys Kobe. Lol I.don't get why these kobetards are going crazy.
