I haven't been keeping up with computer games lately, but a long while back I was into half-life which was a first person shooter. I know since then they've come out with Half-Life 2 and all these other more intense FPS games. The thing is, I believe for gaming-wise a PC unit trumps a laptop everytime due to the fact that you can get a nicer moniter and upgrade your graphics card.

However on any regular laptop you should be able to play a good amount of real time strategy games like starcraft (maybe starcraft 2?), warcraft, age of empires etc... I wouldn't try illegally downloading many mainstream games though, especially on a work computer.
