I want to see Melo with a TRUE second option. Not old billups or AI, not ****ed up Amare. A true and blue stand on his own guy to take the pressure off.

Yeah 2013 was terrible for him and JR

This has all been highlighted before....his scoring efficiency is terrible in the playoffs.
Part flaws in his game/ability...partly his circumstances.

This is why criticizing Melo for his teams not doing better in the playoffs isn't really that unfair.
I could see if he played near his regular level and his teams were mostly outmatched, but shooting 51 TS% in the playoffs when your biggest contribution by far is volume scoring isn't good enough.
Like the 2013 series against the Pacers was very winnable if Melo would've just played at or near his regular season level.

I agree with this, but Melo gets more hate than other players.
LMA over the last 3 seasons in the playoffs....48.7% TS
And while one of those seasons was back in 11...it isn't trending up...not in the regular season or playoffs.
LMA gets a pass for being really inefficient overall.

Yeah, that's why I don't understand why everybody's going crazy over him. He's a nice player but he's nowhere near elite. How are you supposed to rely on a player who's that inefficient in the playoffs if they don't impact games significantly in other areas? Maybe he'll do better on a team like the Spurs.

What was wrong with Billups? If not for Kobe, they would have made the Finals. They were good.

This
Most nikkas were picking the Nugz over us in 09. They would've beaten Orlando that year had they beat us
