What do you guys think? I rarely ask for opinions on here but I like it that you are all brutally honest with me. This is an R&B record I wrote and my brother is the singer. I need your input on this one.

The chorus sounds too busy. I've always been hooked on a chorus that really focuses on the beat and acoustic ability of the singer. The guy singing can obviously sing, so why not show it? I just feel like there's a lot of instruments being played during the chorus, which is where the artist needs to power that shit home.

In my car, with my subs, that acoustic with a beat and maybe some string instruments sounds dirty.

It's a pretty good song. Lyrics are strong. I feel like the song, overall, is stuck between an actual love song (like Craig David type song) and a 'party' song, just needs to go one way or the other. I think if you check out Craig David's music, you'll see what I mean.
