This thread has been mostly about point guards and I would consider marco more of a shooting guard. At first I loved the kid but now Im not so sure because hes already 22.

Who cares if he's a SG or if he's PG. No one really gives a shiiiii.
I can say the exact same thing with Leandro Barbosa. Sure, he's a shooting guard , but he starts as a point guard when Nash is injured.

Yes, bcoz 22 is so old.. get over it, he can still become a great player, no matter what age is he, some peoples peaks are later or earlier then others.

Re: The Draft Prospects Thread.
Josh Howard was 22 i believe when he came into the league.
Jose Calderon was 23 i think.
They each have waiting lines to hang on their nuts.

Re: The Draft Prospects Thread.
I'm number 84 in line for Calderon's nuts.
They make you take that little slip with the number on it.
I think they're somewhere in the high sixties now, I better start paying more attention.

I know he's a SG, but this is a Draft Prospects Thread. I know it got off track and became a discussion of PG's but before that happened I didn't see him in anyone's SG lists. He's a top 20 pick, and as much as I hate the Lakers I think he would fit well there. He can create his own offense, has good size and athleticism, and a nice shot. Plus he patterns his game after Kobe. They need PG help more than anything but took Farmar last year so Belinelli could be a possibility for them.

Re: The Draft Prospects Thread.
what does everyone think of Chris Douglas - Roberts and Jerel McNeal?
-
Re: The Draft Prospects Thread.
Roberts is just like Carney in that they can't dribble worth ****. Nice athlete, and finisher, but players like him can't be great offensive players in the NBA.
McNeal I haven't seen as much as I've wanted to, but he's a better pro prospect that Roberts by far.

Re: The Draft Prospects Thread.
Top 13 pro SG prospects (not including highschoolers like the pg list). Hard to determine exactly if some of these players are sg or sf, but i think this is pretty acurate (ie. Tucker and Rush are sg while marcus williams is a pf).
1. Chase Budinger
2. Nick Young
3. Marco Belinelli
4. Rudy Fernandez
5. Brandon Rush
6. Aaron Afflalo
7. Daequan Cook
8. Rodney Stuckey
9. Jerel McNeal
10. Morris Almond
11. Alando Tucker
12. Derrick Byars
13. Chris Lofton
Really aren't that many shooting guards in college right now that have pro potential. The highschoolers coming in will change that, but Budinger is the only player really worth noting that is already in college and will come out in 2008.

Re: The Draft Prospects Thread.
I personally thinki McNeal could be a very solid pro.
Good defense, good slasher, hell, put him on the Raptors!

Re: The Draft Prospects Thread.
I think Alando Tucker's shooting and handling make him more of a SF prospect than a SG.
Marcus Williams is a combo wing. Can play both SG and SF. I'd put him as high as #3 for SG's. Defensively he'd be the best SG available.

Re: The Draft Prospects Thread.
Williams would definitely be top 2-3 for sg's. I'm doing sf's right now so we'll se where i have him at a much more competitive position.
