I know this is late, but I figured if I missed it, so would others.
Any thoughts on this?
I am personally glad because he hadn't played for a while. He needs to keep himself fresh, and practice some of his stuff against others so that when he returns, he can contribute the same way.
I like that he will get more playing time but I don't see how he dropped from starter to a complete DNP.....it's not like Metta or Barnes are doing anything that special. We've had back to back games where the team had dead legs and Brown refused to bring in fresh legs.....I don't get this at all.

Im looking at his boxscores and after a few decent games, he stopped contributing offensively completely. So I can see why his role changed.
I like it. Take him to the dleague, let him get his feet wet, let him get some mojo on his side. Keep some in his pocket, develop, play and learn HIMSELF as well as NBA caliber players.
On a side note; Why couldnt we send dfish to the dleague?

Only first and second year players can be assigned by a team to the d league. And even if he could, what would the point be?
Btw; If it's only for first and second year guys,
How did the lakers want Iverson to go down there?
Teams can only assign their own signed players to the d league if they are first or 2nd year players. AI is not a Laker so that wouldnt qualify. he can can sign as a free agent basically.
