Great Rebounding Bigs Who Couldn't Defend & Vice Versa?

Topic. We've seen guys in both molds in league history:

(A) bigs who can't defend but can rebound
(B) bigs who can't rebound but can defend

and there are a handful of each type today.

Any guys today/historically who stand out to you?
How do these types of players come about?
Which of these would you rather have on your team?
Can you build a franchise around either type of player?
Which is more flawed?

For a PF Boozer is a great rebounder. Kevin Love is probable the best example though.

Malone is a good example of A, although he wasn't the worst defender on the planet, pretty close, but not the worst. KLove is the best current example of A, and building around him hasn't really worked too well for the Wolves.

Rasheed Wallace was always a head scratcher. Amazing defender, great athlete, played hard, was intense, and then...got 6 rebounds 70% of the time.

Charles Oakley was a good to great rebounder....he played physical style of defense but he was never a great defender

however good you want it to be

but players of type (A) max out with top offense, below average defense, top rebounding, and those of type (B) with top offense, top defense, below average rebounding (for their size/position/role/etc.)

Damn, how could I forget about Charles Barkley? He is the flat out definition of someone who could rebound but couldn't defend.

I also want to add Kendrick Perkins to someone who could defend but couldn't rebound list.

Hold on, wasn't physical defense important especially during the post up era? Same with Malone, he was a very good positional defender.

Andrew Bynum for A. Gets lots of boards because of his length and size. Decent shot blocker but his effort on defense is really lackluster. He never boxes out either nor does he hedge on pick and rolls.
