Jeremy Lin beat you
A genuine discussion about Jeremy Lin's future in the NBA
I've been a huge fan of his from the Knicks days, but watching these Lakers games makes me very concerned for his future as a starting PG.
He has some major major weaknesses both from a mental perspective (attacking, aggressiveness, not being passive) to his jump shot and TO's.
The only way he can play at his best is when the entire team/lineup is geared towards him (Pick and roll, Spot up shooters, HE has the ball 90% of the time) and I don't see any team ever doing that.
Having said that the biggest knock I have on him is his inconsistency. He has games where he looks tremendous and like a top 5 caliber PG, and he has games where he looks like garbage. Plain and simple.
So what does he need to do to stay a starting PG in the league next season?

Dude barely looks like a starter for the worst team in the league.
He either will be a bench player or in China next season

He won't even be able to beat starbury in china

He needs the real Dantoni. Not the fake Dantoni that welted under the pressure of benching Gasol.

Thats what happens when u overpay and overrate a player based on their ethnicity and stretch on one of the greatest systems that make mediocre players look MVP caliber
Lin will be known as a worse Flip Murray but hes gettin paid (wrongly)

Jeremy should play in China, then he can make 24 mil/year just like Kobe.

Thomas is actually getting LESS and is a MUCH better player than Lin. Unless you're trying to get Rondo or WB, then signing Lin over him is retarded

Well actually the Lakers didnt pursue IT at first b/c they were trying to get one of the big time FA's, and by the time they signed elsewhere IT had been won over by PHX. ITs dad is a huge laker fan and IT himself wanted to play in LA but he had to settle for PHX when LA didnt offer him anything. stupid ass move

I honestly think they want to tank harder than last year for Okafor or Towns, that's the only reasonable explanation for not signing a quality player like Thomas.
