never knew a career 47% from the field player was inefficient.

It's all about winning, Magic win the East Dwight is the MVP, but Bulls will probably be #1 so it's probably Rose's.

Rose needa step it up. Starting to de-convince me of teh MVP award.

this has been the story all season long........

rose shotjacking like a motha **** and his teammates bailing him out with defense and offensive balanced attacks..... and still gets the MVP credit miraculously...............

Derrick Rose is a lock for the MVP, and people need to get over it.

Sure he might as weak an MVP as Nash was, but he'll still get the trophy.

Dirkules is the true MVP, no one wants to give it to a white foreigner though...

please leave James out of the conversation he's playing with wade who is having hust as good a year that james is having....Plus the heat have a record that is beefed up by bad teams. How does that constitute an MVP?

Just look at the Miami Heat bench Rocketsgreatness. Wade and LeBron needs a good all round game in order for them to win some games.

all i keep hearing is its about winning ... not who the wins are against!

this thread began as a discussion about MVP stats (by mentioning skip bayless "those are MVP numbers"), so i posted what i thought MVP stats constitute...

last year? yes.. not bad.... but this year? 43% FG? 24 ppg on highest FG Attempts average in league......... thats pathetic... and he is doing it from the "unselfish PG" position..... thats just sad..... and still gets only 7 apg.....

lebron averaged 30 ppg on 50% fg and with 9 apg.... and he didnt even play pg... at least not entire season..... thats MVP numbers....

if people refuse to give the MVP to lebron out of simply hatred..... then at least give it to DIRK OR DWIGHT OR EVEN KOBE.......... they have played much better than rose.... and i freakin hate kobe... but he diserves it more than rose aswell....

It's AI all over again, except Rose is a little better than AI so it's not a complete catastrophe. But it is funny that Rose is the 3rd best player on his team but he can just keep chucking and the "YAY POINTS!" crowd creams themselves.
