Default Spencer Hawes or Jason Thompson?

Who would you rather have for the rest of the season? With a Brad Miller trade? Without?

Regardless of a Miller trade, Hawes will get more time as the team looses more and more games.
But the basic answer you are looking for is that Thompson is the starting PF so he is the "sure thing" if there is one.
Hawes is more skilled and has a higher ceiling, but he will only really explode if Miller is gone (like he did the first 5 games when Miller was suspended).
If Miller stays, Hawes and Thompson will probably be similar in numbers for the fantasy playoff (end of regular season).

Thompson without the trade, Hawes without. As the poster above said, Thompson is the starting PF and I don't think that's gonna change unless he struggles very badly. Without Miller, Hawes would be back to his early season form but Thompson won't be far behind either.

I would say Hawes with the trade, Thompson without it. Thompson is the safest bet though. He will give you good scoring, decent rebounding and good FT%. With a trade, Hawes might grab more boards and block more shots.

thanks for the input, my team punts FG% and TO,. and 3PTM from a C would be great as well as the STLS and BLK. Hawes starting numbers were ridiculous, but Thompsons PTS/REB are better now, I guess I'll keep my eye out for the trade and swap them if it happens.

I'd agree that it probably Thompson without a trade, and Hawes with one. But there's no doubt that Thompson's value is at least somewhat limited no matter what happens, because he's only offering empty points and boards.

I'm personally rolling the dice on Hawes. If nothing else, I know I'll get a couple blocks per. There's enough guys that can get me points and boards out there. But there's no doubt they're gonna give Thompson the chance to double-double every night.
