Yeah, did you read the reason why he re-signed? That's what I'm talking about.

Stevenson, who made just less than $1 million with the Wizards last season after turning down a three-year, $10.5 million offer from the Orlando Magic, hoped to land a larger contract but took Washington's final offer because it was the best on the table

Um, because it was the most money? Sure, it also said he likes playing with his teammates, but it was kind of as a side note.

Well, I guess it depends on how you look at it, 'cuz it said he was looking for a bigger contract but went with the $10.5 mill because he liked playing with the guys. Keep in mind the front office could have offered less than that, but they appreciated the chemistry just as much as he did. This could have panned out like Larry Hughes when he left, so to some degree he valued the team chemistry over the money, wouldn't you say?

No, not really. It says the contract he took was both the final offer from the Wizards and the best he had on the table. Had he not taken it, he would've gotten less money elsewhere, alot like when he didn't take the money from the magic the previous year. He learned from his financial mistake and didn't make it twice. The "team chemistry" stuff is legit to some extent, but really just fluff.
