The only thing I've ever seen him do is hit stand still wide open shots. Seems to be pretty much worthless otherwise. I don't see why the Hornets would want him when they already have Peja and Wright.

That's one thing I'll never understand: why everyone assumes Jarvis Hayes can shoot. Have you taken a look at his shot percentages? Go ahead and do it. They're terrible. Last I checked he was below 33% from 3 and 40% from 2.

His jumpshot is probably his worst asset. He's an average defender and a great rebounder for his position and moves well without the ball and is pretty much a perfect rotation player. If he actually did have the jumpshot everyone and his brother seems to assume he has, he'd be well worth half an MLE for any team to add to their first section of reserves. He'd be like a stronger James Jones.

But as it stands now, Jarvis Hayes is the antichrist. He has cost us so many games in the final seconds. One time he was all alone and all he had to do was collect a rebound off a missed free throw to seal the game and he bobbled it. No joke. Other team got it, cost us the game. I wish I could find a YouTube clip.

Where did I say he can shoot or is a good shooter?

I said the only thing I've seen him do is hit stand still open shots. That's not exactly a thrilling endorsement of his shooting abilities.

My bad.

I meant to point out that from a Wizards fan perspective, all I see him do is *miss* stand still open shots.
