I'll be looking forward to it, if he can give us some depth, play quality minutes for us off the bench and give us a good interior presence at both ends of the floor he will see minutes for sure. I'd like to see him be a physical Jake Vos but younger and black. I'm not expecting him to beast or anything, but it would be nice to.

I think he will play similar to Ronny Turiaf. Rebound a bit and block a few shots, and score on some easy dunks every now and then. Probably a good backup C for us but he won't have any impact on this season IMO. But we will just have to wait and see I guess..
I think if JO keeps getting injured, or Colangelo's plan for Bargs to play centre ever goes through, he could be a nice bench player to come in and give some more toughness ?
I see him as another big guy with no edge to him. Too nice.
I hope they keep Voshkul. I think Humphries has outlived his welcome. He thought he was a shooting star against Houston. I just don't understand how at times Humphries plays his role and at others he forgets it. The Raptors need role players who understand their role and stick to it. Okay sorry but got a bit off the topic on the thread.
I wouldn't expect anything from him this year. He was very raw before the injury, and now has to play through rust and poor conditioning, while adjusting to the NBA game and refining his skill set. I think he will be of value down the road...but I am keeping my expectations very low to begin with.
He's a 2nd round pick, who you could argue has added weight and a minor heart issue. It's like when people thought Hassan Adams was our answer as a defensive stopper at the 2. Most 2nd round picks amount to nothing and probably even less 2nd round big man make an impact.
Hopefully he does but our hope for Jawai is similar to the Thunder's hope that Trent Plaisted would make an impact, or Omer Asik would for the Bulls.
I think the thing that seperates Jawai from those two players is his physicality. Obviously he isn't going to be an offensive superstar and it remains to be seen how his heart is going to hold up, but all I'm looking for from this guy is a few minutes here and there (non-garbage time) to bring some toughness and grab some boards. I don't expect big things from him but I do expect him to get some burn.

I remember reading before the season started that he was giving JO fits during their workouts in Vegas. JO was having a hard time getting around Jawai and scoring. I won't make any more legit assumptions until I see him in action for myself in an NBA game.
