Scene: Coed soccer team often has too many males and too few females. This results in males having low playing time and females complaining about playing too much (or the team getting disqualified). Minimum 2 girls required on field at all times. Males want to play entire game and never sub off.

Order of events:
1. 3 of 4 females on team agree a 5th female is a good idea due to attendance concerns.
2. The dissenting female blows gasket when informed of the democratically determined suggestion to add a fifth girl and refuses to play. Convinces male member of the team, who happens to be her boyfriend, to take same stance.
3. Rest of team bends to her childlike position. Minute breakdown allows for each female to have 50% playtime, males to have 44% if one of the males plays goalie.
4. Same dissenting female unilaterally invites male friend to join team to play goalie, decreasing male play time to now only 33%.
5. Males object to decision, citing ridiculously low playtime for males. Dissenting female lets loose tirade of profanities and insults for good 15 minutes in team forum, calling males selfish and childish.
6. Every male member of team considers jumping off tall building.

God I hate some people.

Who is the manager and why is he/she allowing for the dissenting female to do what she is doing? Is she a star player?

we dont have a "manager", assuming you mean a coach. if you mean manager manager, then that's me actually. but there is no way of policing behaviour here.... plus it's a team of friends dating back many years so we're stuck with who we have and need to keep people happy with the current situation. it is so annoying when you have someone so insanely unreasonable in the fold.
