America puts away their criminals for longer. That has to have something to do with it.

Yeah but way too many are in prison for using drugs. They should be in rehabilitation centers, not locked up with real thugs.

I have a very radical opinion on drug rehabilitation.


Every convicted drug user and crime associated to the use of drugs(going to jail or not) that comes through court must undertake a mandatory cold turkey rehab process.

Those that deal drugs and have no dependancy should be treated differently, as they acted with a clear conscience and state of mind.


This may not work on all patients, but it will cure a great number of them. I'm talking a comprehensive long term rehab process. No methadone program, nothing.

Just straight up cold turkey, unless it is deemed a life threatening situation, then medication may be used.
