Default UConn Huskies win again, land top recruit, guard Omar Calhoun

The Sporting News reports:

The Connecticut Huskies' winning streak, which began with an opening-round Big East Tournament win and included the NCAA championship game against Butler, continued Friday when they picked up a commitment from junior guard prospect Omar Calhoun of New York's Christ The King.

The 11-game winning streak that led to the Big East and NCAA titles has continued on into recruiting, with UConnšs landing 6-7 forward DeAndre Daniels earlier this week for its 2011 class and Calhoun pledging to play for three-time national champion Jim Calhoun in 2012.

Man, this is going to be a fun year for us Huskies fans. The Lady Huskies are returning with hugh expectations. And the fellas, off a historic season, are getting a nice group of talent for the another run. I just hope that we can rekindle that fire like we had last season. We gotta keep that chip on that Husky shoulder.

Go, Huskies!!!
