The reasoning is simple... there is nobody in the league, narrative wise, standing in his way for MVP. We all know the media likes to change up the winner regardless of who deserves the award... everyone thatís likely competition has already dipped their feet in the water and got the award so thatís a huge plus for his consideration. The Celtics should sleepwalk through the East since itís such a joke, right? Kyrie carried LeBron in the Finals, so considering how far the Celtics got without him, bringing him back is a GUARANTEED Finals appearance, no debate.

He has the best defense in the league by far backing him up with yet another year of experience added to the young core that was cunthair away from a Finals appearance without him, arguably the best coach in the NBA and theyíre adding an All Star this offseason in Gordon Hayward.

This is a troll post but itís also a direct rebuttal to all the utter nonsense that has been on display by Celticballer and a lot of other silly Celtics fans in addition to all the Kobe trolls.

MVP + title or bust. Really quite simple.

Nonsense?

team expectations: around 60 wins, make the finals. Put up a decently competitive finals vs gsw or a super competitive finals vs hou. Going 5 is good if like 3 of the games are close.

individual expectations: shouldnt really be expected to score a lot on this team. 22.5/5.5 with his efficiency from this year while being not bad defensively would be pretty good. Make All-NBA 2nd or 3rd team. I think Curry, Harden, Westbrook are locks. Paul can definitely make it if decently healthy. Everyone else like kyrie, dame, wall, oladipo to fight for the last few spots

Celtics win 65 games, go on to the NBA Finals

He is easily MVP with those numbers and 65 wins.

Kyrie isnt build to be a workhorse player in the regular season nor does he need to be with Boston

He needs to stay healthy and beast the playoffs.

Exactly! Scoring skillset wise, I think Kyrie has the best arsenal EVER among the PG's. But dude's durability is his biggest problem. With the talent on Boston, they could spread the wealth. And ENSURE Kyrie can get to the playoffs healthy. I'm thinking 22 PPG and 6 dimes a game is more than enough on that Boston team. No need for him to go off for 30 PPG on that type of squad. Perfect team to keep Kyrie's durability issues in check. While still being the best player on the team.

I expect him to have the best season of his career. He's pain free and is about to go off.

Give it 20 games. Most injury prone player in his division. Probably the entire east.

We all know how good he is.. What I want him to do is avoid being fragile.
Unfortunatley that is something I don't expect.

The Celtics were one game away from going to the finals without Kyrie so anything less would be a huge failure.
I hope he can stay healthy for once as well.
