Default Do you have any strong feelings either way about Jabari Parker?

He was supposed to be somewhere between Glenn Robinson and Carmelo as far as being a polished scoring big forward. He lost his future franchise player spot clearly and he might only be their 4th best young player but I still like him.

In our positionless switch everything whole lineup 66 to 610 league hes gonna he really useful if he can stay healthy. Hes still like 22. Hes a back in the day rookie....

I hope like hell the Mavs don't pursue him in free agency. He looks like a fringe all star type, or basically a Harrison Barnes level player.

Love his offensive game, he can do everything you could ask from your PF (OK maybe except setting good screens...yet). Been hoping he somehow made it to the Bulls since his last year of HS.

Really concerned about his defense post-injuries and some reports about his attitude, though he's still young enough to get this shit together.

He looks like a ten year vet physically, so my main concern with him is he is at his peak physically.

So, if he can go the Paul Pierce rout (spend a couple of years on a weak team developing your old man game on a bad team and then growing with that team) I see him in this role he currently occupies with the Bucks.

This playoffs is really showing, league wide, the true value of players.

If I were the Bucks Inwould be more excited about Thon Maker.

Missing 140 games in your first 4 years would do that to you. It's not like he built a reputation and then had injuries like Rose. He hasn't done anything in this league.

He's an extremely talented offensive player in terms of raw skill and feel for scoring. The problem is he's been insanely underutilized on a team with a garbage offensive scheme and also a hierarchy where several players have established themselves as creators (Giannis, Middleton, Bledsoe, Brogdon, etc.) before him and while he was out with injuries. Speaking of which, the injuries have destroyed his development, not physically (he's still super athletic) but it's been super difficult for him to get into a rhythm and establish himself on the team.

So I guess despite his talent he finds himself lost at times, just playing within the flow and not really knowing when to or having the opportunity to assert himself. If he never had those injuries and was drafted to a bottom 3-5 team where he'd get the green light to develop, he'd be a 23-25 ppg guy by now IMHO.

The biggest problem with him is that his focus, awareness, intensity/effort level defensively is AWFUL. This series pretty much perfectly shows that, games 1-2 he didn't give a shit at all and was unplayably bad, pretty much cost us those two games. Games 3-4 he showed better effort, actually had a lot of nice sequences and we won both.

Of course. But the very minute Joel hit a jumper he had fans.

I understand he isnt as spectacular or entertaining....but Joel went through more than he did injury wise. Parker was pretty productive for a while there.

That isnt too much to assume. He put up 20 a game on good shooting last season.

The guy is really fast, big and can shoot. I think he can be an all-star in a few years if he can stay healthy and keep expanding his game.

Fair point. There's the personality aspect to take into account.

Also, Jabari's injuries are considered career-limiting and while productive, he didn't show much superstar potential upon return

+ he plays in Milwaukee, let's not forget.
