A mid-60's Wilt, and going up against Reed, Bellamy, Thurmond, and Russell...was...by FAR, the most dominant center against his own peers...and INCLUDING the playoffs...than any other center was against their's. Wilt slaughtered all of them, and including his post-season H2H's. From 64-65, 65-66, and 66-67 he ANNIHILATED his HOF counterparts (and also destroyed Russell and Bellamy in his H2H's from '60 thru '64, as well.)

In fact, from 60-67, no other peer was even remotely close to Chamberlain.

He outscored, outrebounded, and outshot ALL of them and by staggering margins.

Nobody.

Russell, Kareem and Jordan enter in the same sentence and that's it.

Russell? And assuming LeBron keeps pace, him Bird and Shaq should get a mention as well.

Just to add to that season...

In his six regular season H2H's with Thurmond, he averaged 20.8 ppg on a .633 FG%, and 25.0 rpg. Thurmond averaged 13.2 ppg against Wilt, and we don't have his FG% against him in those six H2H's (but if their playoff H2H was any indication...it was awful.)

In their six Finals games, Wilt oustcored Nate, 17.5 ppg to 14.3 ppg; outrebounded him, 28.5 rpg to 26.7 rpg, and outshot him by an unfathomable .560 to .343 margin. BTW, Wilt outscored Nate in five of those six games; outrebounded Nate in five of those six games; outassisted Nate in five of those six games; and outshot him in ALL six games. In the clinching game six win, Wilt outscored Nate by a 24-12 margin; outrebounded him by a 23-22 margin; and outshot him from the field by an 8-13 to 4-13 margin.

In his nine H2H games against the Bellamy-Reed duo...Wilt averaged 22.7 ppg..on a get this... .709 FG%, to go along with his 25.7 rpg

And in his nine regular season H2H's with Russell, Chamberlain outscored Russell per game, 20.5 ppg to 12.2 ppg; outrebounded Russell, per game, 26.7 rpg to 21.1 rpg, and Wilt outshot Russell, .549 to .482 (we are missing one of Russell's games...and it in a game in which he only made 5 FGs, so his overall FG5 was probably less.) .

Then, in their five games of the EDF's...Wilt outscored Russell per game, 21.6 ppg to 10.2 ppg; outrebounded Russell per game, 32.0 rpg to 23.4 rpg; and outshot Russell by a staggering .556 to .358 margin. And in the clinching game five win, Wilt outscored Russell, 29-4; outrebounded Russell, 36-21; outassisted Russell, 13-7; and outshot Russell from the field, 10-16 to 2-5.

Probably the most dominant season by any player in NBA history.
