Really? Hadn't heard that, it would be great for RedBull and the MLS if that ends up happening, well, as long as Henry isn't a 38 year old senior citizen at least.

No one cares about soccer here. Kobe is the best sports athlete on the planet and Beckham tabloid news.

Donovan couldnt make the england squad either.

And your saying Landon hadn't made some great crosses which could've been goals pending he had team mates that could finish? Both in the Gold Cup and with the Galaxy, he has made some amazing passes, which have been missed. Main one being in the Gold Cup finals when Beasley blew a wide open goal, litterally, WIDE OPEN after Donovan got the goalie by dishing it off. And saying LD couldn't make the squad's is pretty hilarious as well.

Beckham might still be good, but he is not going to do anything to improve the Galaxy, hell, I think he might get them take a step back due to lack of chemistry, and him bringing his huge ass ego. I'd be happier if we hadn't signed him and just run a formation of:

----------------------CANNON--------------------
KLEIN----------XAVIER---------HARDEN-------JAZIC-
------------VAGENAS-----------GRAY---------------
------DONOVAN-----------------------COBI--------
----BUDDLE------------------PAVON---------------

That is until Albright comes back. When he does, he starts where Klein is, move him into Vagenas role. But until then, you have Gavin Glinton, Kyle Martino, Kevin Harsme and Ty Harden off the bench.

ya, i saw that. It was plain embarrasing. He doesnt have a huge ass ego man. He just loves to play. You seriously think Landon Donovan could make Real Madrid? That is seriously closest to one of the most laughable things i have ever heard. Donocan would get raped in la liga man. What is the highest competition he has played against? He was **** in world cup and since then the best team he has played against is mexico. He is a great player and probably the best for USA right now but he would be exposed in la liga.

Like I said, Leverkusen. A decent team in the Bundesliga. They had him play three games or something, he got killed, and after that they sent the douche back to the States.

Dude can't even make the team for Leverkusen, and all of a sudden he can start for Real Madrid?

Beckham isn't even close to being as good as a soccer player as Kobe is as a basketball player, Beckham is a pretty overrated football star...there are literally 30 better soccer players in this world. Yet Beck gets the most media, but that also has to do with all of his side projects he does...and his fashion fame.

Yeah Beck will have a greater impact on his respective sport because that's like putting Kobe back in college.

Donovan
******
We were in the bayarena (Leverkusen) in 2004(5?) for a Bremen game and we watched all the N. american players. (I do remember Paul Stalteri) LD didn't start, I think he got 1 start that second year he was there.

He went in his prime (23) after the MVP seasons in the MLS. He got every chance to make the team, because they were making a big push to get back into the top tier, and needed an offensive playmaker. It wasn't close for him. He complained in the media about the culture, but that just wasn't it. Out competed by all the younger less experienced guys coming up. Bunch of midfielders you will have never heard of.

Memorable was the Champions League game against Liverpool that year, a competition that every player strives for. Serious cash at stake. He got in the game, but on an international stage, LD collapsed, terrible performance, crushed. Partially responsible for the loss. After that he was done. Requested to go back to the states, and finally got all out released (no fee).
