Re: Steve Kerr says LeBron James is Scottie Pippen, not Michael Jordan
Well Bron is on another level totally than Pip. Pip on those Cleveland teams Bron had wouldn't have gotten them as far. Bron proved he was a Batman back in the Cavs days. Pip never proved he was Batman type guy. How can people forget Bron getting Cleveland to the Finals and the legendary quarter vs. the Pistons to get them there. But Bron isn't as good of a Batman like DWade, Dirk, Melo, Kobe, and Durant. But the key with Bron is he has the best floor game of the Batman guys I named. So that's how he earned the moniker as best player in the L. He was never on the level of those guys as far as Batman scoring shit, even though he still qualifies as a Batman. So Bron isn't Pip but he's DEFINITELY not like MJ either. He's somewhere in the middle. Bron's claim to fame is being a 6'8 260 pound guy with great court vision, can play four positions, defend four positions, is a freakish athlete, and is a Batman type to an extent.
But when u peel back the layers to that, his total scoring skillset isn't on the level of Kobe, Wade, Dirk, Durant, DWade, and Melo. All of those guys have more ways to score than Bron even though Bron can score and averages just as many points. I remember a young Nique back in the day didn't have as many tools to score as MJ or Bird but Nique could score just as many points. Plus Nique had incredible heart and would will his team night after night in the big games. And over time Nique added other scoring elements to his game over the years. Let's be clear Bron is a Batman. But in Miami Wade is better at it.

How can you determine that pippen couldn't be "batman" ?

I think he's a hybrid of pippen and prime vince carter. He has plays defense and facillitates similar to pippen. And scores similar to carter and has his same mentality

I'd say this is actually a fairly dead on appraisal of LeBron's game.
Though I don't think he finishes at the rim quite as explosively as a prime VC (to VC's credit, I don't think anyone in the NBA today does).
