Re: foot fracture advice
i had a dislocated ankle with a fracture in the tibia. hard cast for 2 months with crutches. while i was in my cast, i could slowly walk with a limp, and as soon as i got out of it, i went to play ball. however, i regret doing that and my injury lasted for like 2 years almost, and even now (3 years later) it still bothers me a mildly.
make sure you go to rehab. my foot doctor didn't send me to rehab, and i didn't even know about it. he just told me some exercises to do at home. say **** that, and request to be sent to a rehab clinic. and even if you feel fine, take it slow.
i felt fine after a couple months, but since my calf on the injured leg was a lot smaller than my other calf, i started getting tendonitis on like my knee areas. and flexibility is very important. I had to go to a physical therapist for my various tendonitis, and they told me to make sure i increase my muscle strenght back to original, as well as gaining full range of motion (flexibility) before restarting any intense exercising.
