I doubt it matters at this point. Stern put the spotlight on himself, by making himself look guilty on the Rome show. People are talking about the issue now more than ever. Even if they are questionable calls tonight for the Heat, that'll just make it even worse. At this point, I think the league can no longer help the Heat though. This Thunder team is playing at such a high level, virtually every single call in these games, from now on til the end of the Finals, would have to favor the Heat for them to stand a chance. If you make it that obvious, you're done. IMO, the Heat are on their own now, refs or no refs.

i think it would be a great idea if basketball-reference added referee records to their database and observed certain trends with them. Do certain referees gift an inordinate amount of favorable whistles to certain stars?
