Liked it in the cinema but then i started to notice some things.
At first i thought ot myself the whole "die a hero or live long enough to become a villain" thing should've been rhetorical. Not actually turning into villain. Batman should've said it.
Also the story arc was really all over the place. Awesome nonetheless but there was no deus ex-machina nothing leading to the end, and when there was no joker in the scenes it felt like it was dragging on. I've been able to watch begins and rises multiple times because I don't feel like its dragging its exciting it makes me look forward to the next scene. Rewatching dark knight im just like "they could've done without this scene. and this scene. and this scene."
Also it felt like with ledgers death that they put two movies together somewhat, after Rachaels death. Just my opinion.

Very good NBA starter
Re: Top 5 Superhero movies..
The three Batmans were all good and Spiderman was good. Hulk was good too.
Just a question though...i was young in the 90's and don't remember superhero movies ever being any good back then and nobody cared about them. It seems like X-men and the Toby Mguire Spidermans changed that line of thought. Am I correct? It seems that somewhere around the early 2000's, superhero movies became acceptable. Before they were seen as just for kids.

Because you grew up with the film industry expanding along with your age. Our generation have this cartoons and superheroes attached to us, to the point where we find it acceptable to follow through with the sequels or the hero's themselves.

Yes, you are correct. Before that, it was viewed similarly to how video game movies are viewed now. Superman and Batman were the exceptions.
