Does it have to be a guard? If not, Smith or Lopez. If it has to be a guard...I honestly can't think of anyone deserving because the East's backcourt is so weak...Jennings?

Rondo was picked as a guard not a wildcard so i don't think Lopez can replace him otherwise it would be him.

As for which guard could replace him Jennings and Ellis are the most likely ones imo.

Anyone can replace him, not just a guard.

Should be Josh Smith and in the lineup, probably Irving.

Ohh i thought it had to be a guard in that case i agree Smith or Lopez and move Iriving to the starting line up.

You jumped on this quick.

Paul George is a 3 and he's playing the 3, but he's listed as a 2 because of Granger. So they could just keep him and add Lopez, who is easily the most deserving. I'm only worried that they already have two centers, along with two guys who are playing center.

Holiday should go into the starting lineup. Irving had a great game yesterday and Holiday had a better one.

It's possible, if Pierce gets it going, that one Celtic replaces another. He's a natural 2guard so he could function as the backup SG.

Smith has an uphill battle, I feel.

You know if JR hadn't stunk it up on shooting (his defense and rebounding has still been great) the last couple of games, I'd say him... but it'll probably be Brook Lopez. Even though there are already enough bigs (Chandler, KG, Bosh and Noah), he'll probably get it.

But if a 2nd person goes out, there's no question I'd choose JR over Jennings and Josh Smith.

just asked brian Mahoney and he clarified that stern can pick anyone he wants to replace an injured player. that means that Brook Lopez will likely get in.
Does that mean he's starting too though?

I don't think so, but he deserves to be put into the starting lineup and have everybody slide down, with Lebron playing PG.

I wouldn't agree. Lopez has been as good as anyone and the only argument against him starting is that he's missed 7 games.

And Josh Smith is terrific. Should be 1st Team All-Defense (maybe 2nd) and should have started last year. Jennings should have no argument, tho Smith is an issue with his shooting percentages.

would like to see Lopez

Jennings would be a stretch but he should be in the conversation.

I know he probably doesn't deserve it, but Deron Williams might get picked. David Stern wants that star power
