Matchup to Watch
Danny Granger vs. Gerald Wallace; Wallace was first-team all-defense last season, and the Bobcats need all that to contain the numerous ways Granger can score.
Observations
The Pacers' big off-season move was acquiring New Orleans point guard Darren Collison, who was a revelation in the last third of his rookie season, filling in for an injured Chris Paul.
The Bobcats looked into acquiring Pacers point guard T.J. Ford at the trade deadline, but the deal fell through. Ford is still available, though it's hard to see much interest from the Bobcats, who signed Shaun Livingston to back up D.J. Augustin.
The Pacers have a rough time in Time Warner Cable Arena; they've lost four of their last five in Charlotte.
This would be a great opportunity for some takeaway defense, because the Pacers were sloppy with the ball all preseason. They committed 20 or more turnovers in four of their last five exhibitions. Collison is great at pushing the ball end-to-end, but he also gives it up a lot.
Tap-ins
Former Duke star Mike Dunleavy makes over $10 million this season, but he figures to take a big pay cut under a new collective bargaining agreement. Dunleavy's deal expires in July, just in time for a possible lockout.
As if that loss in Dallas wasn't bad enough, the Bobcats' charter flight had mechanical trouble, and the team didn't get back to Charlotte until past 4 a.m.
At least foul shooting shined in Dallas; the Bobcats made 23 of 24 from the line.
Did you know?
Pacers coach Jim O'Brien isn't the most accomplished coach in his own family. Hall-of-Famer (and former Pacers coach) Jack Ramsay is O'Brien's father-in-law.

Anyone else going to the game? They're gonna have a live band and beer garden in front of the arena as well as a pre-game party at the epicentre. The first 100 fans to buy $100 worth of stuff at the team store get a pair of Air Jordans . LET'S GO CATS!!!

No games for me this season, lots of desire but no funds. So, RP, you will be the eyes and ears for most of us. And the gullet, too, depending upon how much beer you can down.

fouled out, played less than 22 minutes, 0 points, and what else can I say? total garbage.
That ****ing foul on Granger's 3pt shot was ridiculous, a cheating-ish 4pt play.
I totally disagree. You do realize we were ahead when he fouled out...right? Granted the two FTs put them ahead by one, but if we're counting on Gana to be the difference then we're pretty much screwed before we even lace them up. If Nazr had shown up he'd have been in there instead of Gana. He couldn't do anything with Hibbert though...and that guy quieted down after Gana started playing.
We knew we were gonna be weak at the 1 & the 5. After 2 games I'm not thinking any different.

There are certain players that always have great games against us. One of them is Danny Granger. I said, jokingly, before the game that he would shoot his number (33) and damned if he didn't.
I don't understand why Matt Carroll wasn't in the game at the end when we needed a 3.
Oh and Timmeh, this is a beer garden:
Basically an outdoor area where people buy and consume beer and food.
