Penny was great, but Durant is better and has had like 7 seasons behind him, of which at least 5 on all star level and 3 at all time level.

So there is really no comparison.

Perhaps Grant Hill is the better comparison.

We have no idea what will happen with Durant, but his injury is nowhere near as serious as a serious leg injury whether it be broken leg or torn ligaments. I see no reason he can't come back just as strong, this isn't something that can't heal. Jordan broke his foot and came back no problem, he just needed time to rehab
