Default Bought a pressure cooker - anyone have any recipes?

I've been going pretty crazy with it. So for quite some time i've been doing meal preps and so this thing (Power Pressure Cooker XL) is gold... literally takes 30min to go from frozen to fall off the bone tender BBQ chicken and a weeks amount too. I've stuck to fairly simple recipes, Curry chicken, BBQ chicken, Basil paprika and pepper chicken but am curious if anyone has any other recipes?

No it just requires some fluid that can evaporate. I generally use a cup of chicken stock or just water. After the food's done cooking i'll take out the meat and throw in a bag of mixed vegetables and some uncooked rice - it takes 6 minutes to cook it. I was so sick of making rice on the stove top - 40minutes is ridiculous...

I don't know if you guys are interested but i've recently started a low carb high protein diet since i've started going to the gym. Picked this up last week to help motivate me. I might start making more food/meal prep posts if there's any interest.

This is pretty cool than, no oil means less fat and better tracking if your macros.

    What diet are you undergoing?

None specifically - my own diet.

    Essentially it goes like this:
    Breakfast: 2 fruits /1 fruit + oatmeal + honey/1 fruit + yogurt
Lunch: Salad, chicken breast + veggies
Dinner: Medley of vegetables, chicken breast/pork/chicken thigh, rice
Snacks: clif bar or a few spoons of PB/protein shake
I was using myfitnesspal to keep track of macros before but i don't have the time for any of that.

    My diet is ~1200-1700 calories
    130g of protein
carbs vary depending on my breakfast but as much as 80g

    Supplements: fish oil, multivitamins, caffeine

i'd consider getting one if i ever prepared meat at home. but being mainly vegetarian, i don't think i'd have much use for one. as in, not much point in eating vegetables if i'm going to long-cook them.

the other day i read about someone whose pressure cooker exploded. pieces of food became embedded in his ceiling. not stuck, but embedded. now whenever they see a pressure cooker in a store, they rush past.

so i guess it's a good idea to go for quality with these things.

Stove top ones are a bit more dangerous but you have more control of the pressure. Unlike he older ones, newer stovetop pressure cookers have emergency relief so they wont explode but rather a valve will open up.

That said, i opted for an electric one for that reason plus i don't consider myself a cook so the added pressure variable makes little difference for me.

ah, that's good to know. if i come across one at the thrift store, i might scoop it up.

actually my next cooking project is to get some firebrick for my oven so i can make some homemade brick oven pizza.

btw, is belgian cuisine similar to french?
