Jack Haley just said that on FSN, so he said he doesnt think Lamar is gone, unless its a KG or something. He also said Phil loves the way Lamar runs the triangle. Lamar also had an interview also, and seemed tired, hurt, and someone who just wanted to take a nap.

Usually when teams want to trade players they make it well known how much they like them, how much thery mean to the them etc.
This could be that type of a situation.

When the storm ends, you"ll hear a lot of lovefest for every one of them.

IMO, this is a great time to trade Odom. 3 years ago I predicted they'd trade him at the worst possible time and get very little in return but now I feel I could be wrong about that.

This is absolutley the best time to trade him. It absoltuley is. He had a huge series, showed great character, was great until all the injuries..

Buy low, sell high.

The time to trade Odom is NOW.

My opinion on him is that he's one of those losing type of tweeners and so far he's done nothing to prove me wrong there but we"ll see.

If they're gonna keep him, at least put him at the SF position because I prefer tweeners being played at smaller position but still, move him there you move away his effectivenes in the post, you move away some of his rebounding etc.

He needs to go IMO. He needs to go.

Here's a PERFECT assessment on Kobe and Odom, the duo.
So simple, yet so true.

Does Odom draw defenders to open the floor for Kobe? No. Does Odom block shots against penetration to anchor the defense? No. Those are the two skills the Lakers need most on each end respectively. Odom can't provide that.

Odom is the second highest paid player on the team. The #2 paid guy on the roster needs to deliver the skills the team must have on both ends to succeed. Odom does not do that. Odom delivers personal stats he doesn't optimize Kobe's game.

When #1 and #2 have to depend on 3-5 to work you've already failed. 1 and 2 have to optimize each other as 3-5 makes it even tougher to defend 1 and 2. Instead you want better 3-5 to make 1 and 2 good enough. That's an expensive approach, and a flawed one. 1 and 2 have to complement one another and you go from there. When 1 and 2 have to depend on others to succeed together you've already lost
