*And when we played ya'll with Lin and Amare we beat you so....
Wait until Tuesday Bull's fans, this was probably Rose's worst game as a pro, he's only going to get better. The Knicks were amazing at stripping the ball yesterday--things like that don't happen every game or every 8 games even.
True true.
I'm not hear to troll, though. If Melo can maintain his superstardom when Lin and Amare returns the Knicks can be dangerous. Bulls outmatch us though with boarding and relentless composure. This game in Chicago honestly scares me.
Tough game to watch. One of the toughest losses I had to witness this year.
With that being said the Knicks needed to have Melo have his best game of the season, play the best team defense they've played all season long, Rose to be extremely rusty and not 100%, the Bulls to have a lot of turnovers, Boozer Noah and Deng to all score below their season averages to only manage to win by ONE point.
Not worried about it. Confident that we can beat anyone in the league in a seven game series.
The beginning of the game was horrendous. I don't understand why it took Thibs so long to modify the lineup to matchup with what the Knicks had on the court.
A lineup of Noah, Deng, Brewer, Hamilton and Rose should have been the lineup to matchup against Chandler, Melo, Fields, Smith and Shumpert.
Hopefully the coaching staff makes the necessary adjustments.
Gotta be ****ing kidding me. Dak doesn't show his face all damn year, Rose has a bad game after missing the previous 12 and Dak wants to come back and run his mouth.
Thibs should have benched him in the 4th quarter and played Watson. Rose just played terrible and missing two free throws cost the Bulls the game. Rose should absolutely start right now but until he gets used to playing again and is 100%, if he's playing like crap at the end of the game then Thibs needs to put in Watson or Lucas.
A game like this shows why the Bulls still need another guy that can create for others. Even a hobbled McGrady would've been huge in this kind of game. Just someone that will ease the ballhandling/distributing load for Rose.
When Rose goes into this macho-style hero ball he starts looking like the crappy version of AI. Nothing but turnovers and wild looking shots while looking for a foul call.
Seems like he only gets this amped up by certain matchups. Specifically the Heat, Knicks and Pacers who could all be potential playoff matchups. He needs to calm himself down and get back to being a team player and leader.
Rose isn't Kobe. That type of game is nothing but bad for the Bulls.
Agreed. Rose definitely needs to play smarter. At the same time the Bulls still need a 2 guard to help with scoring. A banged up Rip Hamilton isn't cutting it.
First game back, logged heavy minutes, tryed to do too much. Lost a close game, was it supposed to go any other way? I dont understand analysing Rose when he is fresh off an injury. Clearly at full health he plays much better than this, have we already forgot that?

Nothing to analyse? He hasnt had much time to get his legs back, first game back, tryed to do too much, game was out of synch. Simple as that. No need for panic stations, judge the team when they are fully healthy and played some games together.
Hamilton will be fine, he will take the longest to get in the groove, not only is he recovering from injuries, he also has to get used to thibs game plan and the team. Like last year, the team needed a year to execute the new system, mesh with each other, particularly offense.

this. and there's only a handful of games left. we need Rose to shake off the rust rather sooner than later, and Thibs understands that; he is thinking of the playoffs over these pretty much meaningless final games. (The worst we could do is probably 2nd seed, and we are sure to be in the playoffs) Putting Watson in to close the game takes time away from building chemistry.

That's EXACTLY what it was. Its not that they were bad, and played great defense. The problem is that Melo just played BETTER offense. He was having a very hot night, and even our defense was a non issue for him. Making a stand is one thing, but when Melo showed once that he COULD drop the long 3 on our Defense, I wouldn't even chance it, which is what we did, and it hurt us.
Doesn't matter. When your defense is as good as the Bulls, you don't foul unless you absolutely have to. They especially won't foul "in case Melo hits a clutch three". That call would be cowardly, but even more of a showing of a teams lack of confidence in their defense...and the Bulls do not lack any confidence in defense.
