It would be awful if Al Jefferson pulled a Len Bias (albeit 2 years after being drafted). For the next twenty years we'd hear about his potential and how he would have dominated the league racking up MVP after MVP along with numerous titles.

(BTW it would also be awful for his family and I realise that I'm coming off as a complete a55hole)

I wouldn't go that far, but Al has the talent to be a Jeramine O'Neal type.

Why don't we trade Andre Iguodala and a pick for Paul Pierce. That sounds fair.
BTW, AI in that green uni looks terrible.

An even better question is why Philly homers think that there is some giant market for A.I. that will garner them another superstar in a trade?

Except that we Celtic fans and the Boston media had nothing to do with the creation of this rumor.

If Philly deals AI for a package that includes 2 draft picks it would be part of a youth movement. Meaning that they'd be no longer concerned with how the team fit in with an older guy like Webber. A side-goal would probably be to trade Webber ASAP. It probably is one of Philly's goals anyway. And the Utah pick wouldn't have to be Sene (he's just who I would take with that pick) if Philly doesn't want to deal with a project.

If this deal does go through, with picks 7, 13 and 14 id want Foye, Carney/Brewer or even Ced Simmons(whoever is available) and Rondo. Youth movement in Philly would be great. I have a feeling if they do trade Webber its for Rose's expirer since Thoams has been always after Webber.
CT- Dalembert/Hunter
PF- Boozer/Simmons/Randolph
SF- Iguodala/Rose/Korver
SG- Foye/Green
PG- Rondo/Ollie
Get another lotto pick next year when the draft is full of talent, Philly would be set.

that's not a new development, the rumours always gonna be there, it just depends on whether the philly gm is willing to accept considerably lower market value for his player than he should
