If the Lakers trade Kobe they will lose MILLIONS and it will be another decade *at least* before they compete for a championship.

In other words, they aren't trading Kobe.

We wont get Hinrich, and we wont get Deng. Chi will just not give them up. Plus we have too many small forwards already.

Kobe moving to the East would help the league.

Just wanted to add that.

Yeah it would, and the east needs it especially with the two draft picks this season going out west. The east would have LeBron, Wade and Kobe now.

The Bulls are my favorite team and I wouldn't mind seeing him there at all if the Bulls didn't give up TOO much talent for him. If I was in charge of the Bulls I'd offer Ben Gordon, Chris Duhon, Thabo Sefolosha, the number 9 pick in the draft and a couple more draft picks.

I would think about Hinrich but I don't know, he's a really good defender and I wouldn't even think about trading Luol Deng or Tyrus Thomas. Actually, I'd think about Thomas if Odom was involved in the trade.

Kwame Brown/Andrew Bynum
Lamar Odom
Luke Walton/Thabo Sefolosha
Ben Gordon
Chris Duhon

Also throw in the 9th pick in the draft and that's a decent team.

Ben Wallace
?/Tyrus Thomas
Luol Deng/Andres Nocioni
Kobe Bryant
Kirk Hinrich

That team wins the east.

Just think of the All-Star game when Shaq and Kobe would be teaming up again.

Shaq
Dwight Howard
LeBron James
Kobe Bryant
Dwyane Wade

If i'm Chi there's no way I give up Hinrich if I can avoid it. He's a defensive beast pg who can shoot. Thats rare.

They've really built the anti-Miami team if you think about it. Kirk = Wade stopper, Ben Wallace = Shaq stopper. This team is built to beat Miami.

With my trade Chi would look like this.

Hinrich
Kobe
Deng/Nocioni
Filler
Wallace

Chi would have find someone to play PF, but I dont think that would be hard.

Probably one day, but if they don't get a superstar back for Bryant and devolve into a lottery team there's way too many other things to do in LA to expect the city to stay interested.

could you imagine how bad it would be for the nba's ratings too? boston, phili, ny, and la all to miss the playoffs for a stretch of years? ouch. i mean i expect boston to be right back on the horse with a healthy pierce, the 5th pick, and more time for young'ns, but it's still a possibility.

Funny how all these people are saying Kobe can't be traded because he is too valuable to the franchise and the Lakers won't get enough in return are the same people who thought Minnesota would trade KG to the Lakers just because he demanded it.
