Default Re: Since the MVP is swingman bias, I'm through with this award all together

Well, the one point he is making: some big men DID win MVP despite their teams not being that great record-wise, because of great stats. But take a closer look

McAdoo won with his team winning 49 games. Kareem once won with his team not even making the playoffs. McAdoo had 34/14 though, and Kareem had 28/17/5/4 blocks. Kobe's and Bron's numbers don't approach this kind of dominance.

And Kareem was a monster. In his MVP years he averaged:

32/16/3 (blocks weren't kept then)
35/17/5 (blocks weren't kept then)
27/15/5/4 blocks
28/17/5/4 blocks
26/13/4/3 blocks
25/11/5/4 blocks

those numbers are way better than even Jordan's.

and except for the one year they didn't make the playoffs, he lead his teams to 66, 63, 59, 53, 60 wins.

When you have PROVEN you can lead your team to a great record and a title, winning may not matter as much as for a player who's yet to prove it.
