I see a huge difference in Kobe from his first few years to his last few years. His first few years he tried to do too much and he was sometimes schooling 2 people at once. But he just didnt know what to do when he got to the basket.

so Phil Got Kobe some great positions in this offense and Kobe loves it.

But more importantly his teammates get recognition now.

The 1970 Knicks won the championship after acquiring Dave Debusschere. He was the missing piece that made everything work. Perhaps the Lakers are a piece or two away.

Good Luck!

Default 3rd option

Well with that our of the way....who can be our third option?

Do we need to acquire one? or do we have one that can become a good third option?

A,B&C: That is one of the things I was asking in this thread if you could trade Kobe for several players, you might be able to obtan options 1 & 3 plus a role player and/or draft pick.

However, if you keep Kobe. You need to ask these four questions:
1. D. Can anyone step up? or C:
2. Who do the Lakers have to trade?
3. Who would provide what we need?
4. And could we get him for what we have to trade?

Well Kobe ain't gonna be traded anytime soon (until he dies)

1. Kwame, Luke, and radman need to step up and odom needs to stay consistent. But the main one is kwame.

2. brian cook looks very expendible right now and he might be the first to go.

3. Any rebounding PF. kwame is a center and Ronny might be the one to do the dirty work but this year???

4. I didnt understand this question but if ur asking about trading kobe then I dont think anything will replace Kobe.

The only way Kobe is traded, he would go to Charlotte and play for you know who.

Or Chicago, just so he can say he's gonna do what Jordan did in Chicago.

But Kobe is not leaving L.A. any time soon.

He also has a trade kicker which appears to be pointles...even if we tried to trade him he might stay.

but he prolly wouldnt give his 110% after he realized we tried moving him.

No I am saying that if the lakers keep Kobe. You need to ask:
3. Who would the Lakers trade for that would provide what they need to get much better?
4. And could the Lakers get him for what they have to trade?

Understand now?

ok i understand.

So the only trades lakers would make are for kevin garnett right now because thats the only thing we have in mind.

Other than that, Phil Likes big men who can rebound and play Defense (reggie evans)

But hes signed for a while. Our only hope is that chris can come back without being deemed a "damaged good".

But the only trade idea would be odom and Bynum to minny for garnett which Isn't about to happen because mchale is holding garnett hostage.

McHale is going to eventually trade KG to an eastern team - hopefully for me the Knicks.

I hope so. If the Knicks can get KG for Steve Francis and bench players, IMHO they will become a contender.
