I make a lot of winter dishes using a Dutch oven but the other week I tried our slow cooker for the first time in years because I had a lot of errands to run and didn't have time to keep checking the stove. Ended up making this:

Chicken Tikka Masala

Super easy and flavorful. I think I might be using that crock pot more this year.

That's a good question. I probably wrongly assumed everyone had left.

Need to update my cooking game so thanks for the bump. Too much pasta, (insert meat here) + potato/rice + veg for dinners.

Bought a cast iron plate that covers two of my stovetop burners for high heat grilling. It's a shitshow without a proper exhaust hood. I set off smoke alarms in the hallway of my building.

It ain't real cooking unless a smoke detector goes off. Cast iron sure is a great cooking surface though.

i've been using a cast iron pot for deep frying purposes. I find that it retains heat a lot better.

Same here. I use a Le Creuset which is enameled cast iron.

Looks delicious! Although I can't eat Cilantro/ Coriander. Tastes like soap to me.

I'm currently making my way through the new cookbook by Chef Todd Richards called Soul. Some great recipes in there.

I know a few people like that. It's genetic, or so I'm told.
