Default What do you consider the best/worst draft position?

Title says it all. what are your opinions. Like being number one, somewhere in the middle, or near the end?

I just completed my H2H leagues draft order and i'm #6 in a snaking draft, i don't know how to feel about that...

I don't think there really is a bad spot. You can make it work from any place. I actually like early, only because having CP3 or Kobe or Lebron, with a later 2nd, in my opinion is better then having a late 1st and early 2nd. The late 2nd is just as good as the early 2nd, and then you get an early 3rd too.

6th is tough. You miss out on Kobe, Amare, LBJ and CP3. The next best would be someone like Brand, Wade or Dirk. Personally, I like Dirk as the 5th best player based on consistency and his numbers were unreal with Kidd.

In a 12 team draft. I'd rather be in the top 4 or the bottom 4. At first, I thought being in the middle would be great but it really isn't. Especially with the sure top 4 players (Kobe, Paul, Lebron, Amare) gone. Being at the bottom 4 lets you select two players almost consecutively, same goes with the top 4.

Thanks for the input guys. Right now i'm planning to grab Elton Brand with my 6th pick. He's now phillys franchise player, will get me blocks (which Dirk won't), and he's C eligible in Yahoo. How much disparity would there be between taking Brand over Dirk? would i be making a mistake passing on Dirk?

P.S. if anyone is in T.O. Raptors tickets are on sale now. I just scored some Celtics, Heat, and Hornets tickets...

Nothing wrong with taking Brand there. If he stays healthy, he'll be a solid pick. Dirk will give you more scoring and better volume FT%. Also more 3's. All really Brand does a lot better is FG% and blks. Their bds are very similar. Brand could go like 19/10 this year, whereas Dirk was a monster with Kidd in town.

yea, u just know for sure that dirk is going to put up great numbers this year. brand is a slight question mark, which i always try to stay away from with the first pick
