Glad to see he's getting an opportunity to work out--he and Craig Bradshaw were far and away Winthrop's best players last year. Somewhat of a streak-shooter, but he's crazy athletic and an above-average defender for a guy his size. .

I really like Corey Brewer he would be at the shooting guard position or small forward position and he's a good defender.

Outside of the big 2, I think Brewer is going to be the player that makes the biggest splash out of this draft. I'd love to get him too.

At SG the team already has Carroll, Morrison and Derek Anderson;
At SF the team already has Wallace, Anderson and Hermann.

So, if Brewer is drafted, who would be booted from the roster or put into another position so that Brewer could be accommodated? Shouldn't mgmt be looking to fill positions at PF (to back up Okafor and also to allow him to play C) and C (since Brezec seems hopelessly weak and that leaves Voskhul) since those are the positions that seem to have the most glaring deficiencies?

I don't disagree that we need more help at PF/C and that's why I've come to think drafting Noah wouldn't be so bad. However, I think Matty is better served coming off the bench and I don't think DA is coming back. So, if we can get Brewer at 8, I think we take him. He's the type of lock down defender we need at the 2 spot and he was pretty strong offensively for the Gators on their title run.

Outside of Noah and Jeff Green (who can play some 4), I don't really love any of the 'bigs' that are likely to be available at 8 so I think we need to take the best available guy.
