Moving a "hustle" big man, who can not defend, or create his shot will not doom The Knicks. David should be moved while he is stock is high as he is not an impact player.

This is only a cost cutting move if they move Jeffries or Curry OR let Lee walk.

Memphis Fans:

What about:

Lee
#8
Jeffries
$3m
2011 #2

for

#2
Darko

?

If Chandler or Gallinari needs to be added, that could work as long as Memphis adds a little more back.

Because you'd get back a 1 year player and Lee would be signing for 5 years

BTW, Lee is asking for 10-11 a year. I know he doesn't have options but it only takes ONE team willing to do a SIGN & TRADE for that money to make it where the Knicks would have trouble signing him.

You are forgetting the obvious. Knicks don't HAVE to do a sign and trade. Knicks are in control.

I'm pretty sure Walsh is trying to move Curry or Jeffries or both with Lee.

Build a deal around Troy Murphy. Dude was born to play for D'Antoni. And not one that doesn't have Lee making Murphy money, because neither are worth near it. Go!

That makes absolutely no logical sense whatsoever.

David Lee is about to get PAID, hes a solid player but I'd rather have Paul Millsap over Lee and + Millsap is probably going to sign for $2-3 Million less.

Meant Lee not having an equal contact to Murphy, don't know where that wording came from.

They can't keep both. I would try to keep Lee. I think Robinson would be easier to replace.

Huh?

Knicks can either add Lee's say 5 years and $40m, or not.

If they sign and trade him they add that equvilanet for at least 1 year if not more?

That doesn't cut costs, it adds to costs.

The only way a Lee s&t, saves money is if they move Jeffries or Curry in the deal as well, since they are the only significant post 2010 salary.

So now David Lee is worth more than the #2 pick in the draft? El-oh-el.
