Default Shareef's season is over

Quote:
Shareef Abdur-Rahim's season likely ended Friday after the Kings forward underwent arthroscopic surgery on his right knee for the second time in less than six months. The procedure was performed at the UC Davis Medical Center, where Dr. Richard Marder removed bone spurs and joint lining from the knee

Quote:
"This has been personally and emotionally frustrating not being able to help my teammates," Abdur-Rahim said. "However, we all have different challenges in life and this one is mine. God willing, I can find a way to still contribute and help my teammates while I work to get healthy."

Quote:
Abdur-Rahim's recovery from his first procedure in late June was never complete he missed the early part of October training camp and returned to action late in the preseason. Kings coach Reggie Theus gave Abdur-Rahim limited playing time in six regular-season games, but it became apparent quickly that the knee was not fully healed.

Losing SAR isn't a big a loss because our frontline is already loaded with new guys like Mikki and Hawes, both of who are having good games but can't seem to consistent.

Looks like SAR's career is virtually over. He's always seemed a little slow and two surgeries are going to hurt his speed a lot more. On the other hand, he made a living off his foot work and craftyness the last few years and he could still use that post-surgery.

He's always been a hard worker and we know he's doing the best he can to come back just like he did when he broke his jaw and came back early to play with his jaw wired shut.

Yeap he's done, at least we'll have memories of him carrying the Kings in game 2 @ SA playoffs. Until that damn Barry shot.

So after 2 years, its quite obvious that the Nets were right and the Kings' doctors are idiots.

If you guys remember, the Nets were going to sign him after he declined the Kings offer but at the last minute, their Doctors from NJ said that SAR's knee had some serious problem. That deal fell apart because of that.

After that, the Kings quickly signed him for the full MLE because they wanted some help badly. Their doctors said SAR's knees were fine. The Kings were overjoyed with how they managed to get a good FA for cheap after they had seemingly lost the race. Who's laughing now?
