How does he need them if he turns them into scrubs?

Thatís the point. Theyíre not scrubs talent wise.

The offensive system caps their ability to produce statistically at a meaningful level thus making it look like they have these massive sudden drop offs while playing alongside LeBron.

How do you not understand this? Chris Bosh and Kevin Love are scrubs to your dumb ass?

Better than both. Wade didn't make it past the first round without Shaq until like 2016(?)

It is a very small sample size, but Davis in 13 Playoff games (age 21, 24) is averaging 31/13 with about 2 stl 3 blk on 59%TS.

If you look at him in the 2018 Playoffs, he swept the Blazers and took a game from the Warriors, had a double-double in every single Playoff game and only had like one bad game shooting. Imagine if he was drafted to a good organization and competed in the Playoffs every year.. no team has been able to shut him down so far and the only big man who really could (Embiid) is playing out East.

There's no weakness to his game in this era. He can do it all.

Disingenuous ... Shaq wasn’t anything special by 2006.

Wade over took him in the 2005 playoffs as the Heat’s best player.

Post Shaq, and pre LeBron / Bosh in 2008, 2009, and 2010 the Heat roster was trash.

Using the same logic Kobe didn’t get past the first round either without Shaq and pre Gasol.

But Kobe wasn't playing the Atlanta Hawks in the first round. Wade got swept in the first round (by the Deng/Gordon Bulls no less) as a defending champ.

Love Wade, but I think AD is just better. Lebron only really had 1 year of peak/prime Wade, AD is only 26 and will probably give him at least two years of elite play at like 28/12 with ~3 blocks.

He still forced a trade of a rookie for a perennial all star PF because he needs MORE HALP !!! So of course he needed him. LeBron always needs a secondary sidekick, generally a top 3 PF.

shut the f up

AD is a monster no doubt, and I wouldnít be surprised if we revisit this thread in 3 years AD overtakes Wade, but having an fmvp where u put up a great individual performance brings a lot of cache... as it should.

Davisís playoff sample size is too small for me to just crown him over a proven leader like Dwyane Wade right now. And even with the fmvp and along with it, admittedly, a little bit of benefit of the doubt I still only have him a barely over AD.

Also, Iím not sure if the part of Lebron having only 1 year of prime Wade was meant to be an argument for this thread or if youíre just pointing it out, question is who is the best player Lebronís ever played with.

AD is the best fit with Lebron. And he's mad underrated on this board.

Unless and until AD produces his regular season stats in a finals setting, what he 'could' be on paper in term of where the Lakers land the next few years is a non-starter conversation, so 2011 Wade is his best teammate UNTIL proven otherwise. Say what you will about Kyrie as a lead player but he balled out in both finals, so while AD's *obviously* a better player, he shouldn't get the automatic benefit of doubt until he's performed big in high stakes situations.

I have my doubts about Lebron and AD's on-court synergy anyway, since the latter isn't the kind of stretch 4 that would best work with Lebron. So whoever their third big signing ends up *needs* to have knockdown shooting as one of their attributes, like a Klay Thompson( which obviously isn't happening).
