No idea, but I do know it's one of the best films of all-time IMO.

I'm pretty sure I'm in the 99th percentile on here age wise, and those people would be as old as my parents, so I can't really say.

But I can say that growing up for us, the idea of the field party was a huge deal. We had party's in high school that other than the clothes and language probably didn't look a whole lot different. But I also think that's just something that's symtomatic of living in Connecticut. In fact someone on Facebook recently posted one of those "10 Things about growing up in CT" articles, and one of the entries was The Field Party, and the picture they used was from the movie.

That movie was also right when I was a junior or senior on High School, so it was right in our wheelhouse. I must've watched it a hundred times. I've described more than one woman over the years as a Martha Washington ... a hip hip hip, hip lady.
