Clinton was irresponsible in the maintenance of a separate private server, and she received appropriate scrutiny and criticism for it. However, it should be noted that neither we, nor the justice department, nor the FBI, nor the NSA, nor the CIA have evidence, pro or con, that Hillary's server was breached and that classified e-mails were attained by foreign powers. If her server was hacked, the abiding question is this: why weren't at least some of the e-mails released? That would have been extremely damaging to her, yet we saw nothing from her server. Perhaps the Russians were too good to be caught and too smart to betray their hacking, but they didn't seem especially careful or concerned in their other attempts at election meddling.

We've made much of Clinton's "public and private positions" and there are some soundbites that are easy to pull out and attack, but a lot of the soundbites have shown to lack the nuance of the wider comments she made in those settings, unsurprisingly. For instance, she spoke of support for some of the recommendations put forward by an Obama commission in regards to SS. People wanted to paint her as cutting SS benefits for seniors, but didn't take into account that the commission recommended slowly and incrementally raising the benefit age for seniors while also expanding the tax base by raising the cap on contributions.

There were concerns about her insistence on open borders and trade, though publically she distanced herself from TPP and NAFTA. What people won't say is that the two aren't mutually exclusive. She has never wanted to get rid of NAFTA and preclude TPP, but rather fix the flaws in both... and she has said this repeatedly. There are a number of other examples.

Incidentally, Trump's off-color commentary and jokes aren't simply lockerroom talk; they reveal a mindset of someone who believes he is above the law. He has certainly behaved that way of late, no? NDAs, payoffs and all sorts of corruption.

Almost as much as the Clintons?

You make fair points. I don't disagree with what you're saying. The whole email scandal didn't change my opinion of Hillary that much, and neither did the Billy Bush tape.

To me so much of this is laughable. The media makes it sound like it is a huge deal that will affect our lives, but it's not. Meanwhile we ignore the real problems like our budget/debt. HUGE gov't waste going on right now. Gov't education system is expensive and terrible, gov't pension plans are unsustainable, (illegal) immigration has been getting worse for decades, and the media has been acting like shit like this and a rumor that John Kelly is going to resign are big deals when they are insignificant in our everyday lives.. but they matter to people like DonDodda (SomeBlackDude) because he gets excited when "his side" scores a minor victory in the political game.

don mcgahn, white house counsel, is snitching.

Quote:
White House Counsel Has Cooperated Extensively With Mueller’s Obstruction Inquiry

WASHINGTON — The White House counsel, Donald F. McGahn II, has cooperated extensively in the special counsel investigation, sharing detailed accounts about the episodes at the heart of the inquiry into whether President Trump obstructed justice, including some that investigators would not have learned of otherwise, according to a dozen current and former White House officials and others briefed on the matter.

In at least three voluntary interviews with investigators that totaled 30 hours over the past nine months, Mr. McGahn described the president’s furor toward the Russia investigation and the ways in which he urged Mr. McGahn to respond to it. He provided the investigators examining whether Mr. Trump obstructed justice a clear view of the president’s most intimate moments with his lawyer.

Among them were Mr. Trump’s comments and actions during the firing of the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, and Mr. Trump’s obsession with putting a loyalist in charge of the inquiry, including his repeated urging of Attorney General Jeff Sessions to claim oversight of it. Mr. McGahn was also centrally involved in Mr. Trump’s attempts to fire the special counsel, Robert S. Mueller III, which investigators might not have discovered without him.

For a lawyer to share so much with investigators scrutinizing his client is unusual. Lawyers are rarely so open with investigators, not only because they are advocating on behalf of their clients but also because their conversations with clients are potentially shielded by attorney-client privilege, and in the case of presidents, executive privilege.

“A prosecutor would kill for that,” said Solomon L. Wisenberg, a deputy independent counsel in the Whitewater investigation, which did not have the same level of cooperation from President Bill Clinton’s lawyers. “Oh my God, it would have been phenomenally helpful to us. It would have been like having the keys to the kingdom.”

Who are you talking about though? Who is all up in arms? From what I see, nobody really even seems to care about the Omarosa tapes.

The White House doesn't care about the Omarosa recordings? The President doesn't care about the Omarosa recordings? Lol, they filed for arbitration and the President has been tweeting. They care... and by extension, a significant portion of the President's supporters care as well.

Though I'd advise the President, the White House and his supporters to shift their concern to McGhan.

I agree... there have been institutional failures at every level of government, but I don't fault people like SomeBlackDude for having their fun. For decades we've heard from the right how important and revolutionary it would be to have a businessman in the White House. They've stressed that they are the only party interested in addressing our national deficit and debt. They've attempted to claim the high ground on a host of moral issues. They've been insufferable in their assertions that those on the left are the ones sowing division and racial strife. They've railed against perceived corruption and dysfunction.

We now have a President who has proven that simply being in business doesn't adequately qualify an individual to run a country. They've blown up the deficit with tax cuts that predominantly favor a small percentage of Americans and American workers. They've ignored, excused and explained away the moral failings of a laughable number of their elected officials, including the President. They have a disturbing number of Holocaust deniers and white nationalists running in their party for elected positions. They've been tepid and silent in their response to obvious corruption and dysfunction in this administration and among their own ranks.

They've been hypocrites. But here's the truth... SomeBlackDude gets to do what he does because their supporters, who have been blindly following along, are perhaps the bigger hypocrites. They were extremely vocal and angry about all of the issues I've mentioned when the left was in power. Now they are conveniently dismissive of them all. The President's one-time campaign chairman is on trial facing a host of charges, and other administration staffers and campaign staffers are facing jail time... meh. The President wants to waste tax dollars by holding a pointless military parade... meh. Former staffers speak out about the dysfunction in the White House... meh.

We spent more than a year talking about Benghazi and held something like 9 separate investigations, most of which had the obvious intent of hurting Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration politically. Yeah... I'm perfectly fine with SomeBlackDude having his fun now; we have individuals on this very site defending Alex Jones and calling families who lost their children in Newtown, Connecticut liars and crisis actors. Surprise, surprise... some people are partisan.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

Guess all is fair in war when POTUS brags about finding loopholes in the system, suggests a foreign country hacks the U.S. Calls citizens douchebags on social media, and takes jabs at anyone who questions him.

Its going to get grimier. In the end it will probably be one of these women who bring him down someday.

Mr. McGahn and his lawyer, William A. Burck, could not understand why Mr. Trump was so willing to allow Mr. McGahn to speak freely to the special counsel and feared Mr. Trump was setting up Mr. McGahn to take the blame for any possible illegal acts of obstruction, according to people close to him. So he and Mr. Burck devised their own strategy to do as much as possible to cooperate with Mr. Mueller to demonstrate that Mr. McGahn did nothing wrong

This is what happens when you have a history of fvcking ppl over your entire life. Even his own lawyers don't trust him.

Klan leader Richard Preston sentenced to four years in prison for firing gun at ‘Unite the Right’

This took place on that Saturday. What sorts of "fine people" associate with these kinds of individuals?

On top of all this, the Ukranian prostitute has evidence of Russians colluding with American politicians regarding the election.

This Cohen deal is important because some of those involved know they'll get better deals if they cooperate.

Why do ya'll think Omarosa is walking around talking so freely and not caring where and who she recorded?

Cause Mueller is gonna give her a sweet deal, just how Cohen is getting and how others may get. People are talking cause it's what's best for 'them'.
