Default O'Brien thinking of Small Ball

Jim O'Brien said he liked the way the Pacers played against the Suns (without JO) and liked the small ball that they played. This means more time for Shawne Williams, he deserves it after the game against the Suns, it wasnt his fault that the Suns came back to tie I think O'Brien should use this small ball and utilize all the talent we have at the SG/SF position. I would love to see this lineup against the Kings

Tinsely
Dunleavy
Shawne Williame
Granger (he should be able to body up Mikki More)
JO

and have Murphy come off the bench.

This is a perfect lineup, it has 3 swingmen so basically they can run! Shawne Williams needs to get more time, the one game he started on Nov 27 against Denver he got 20 points and 11 rebs....he needs more time

The Suns game convinced me the Pacers are better w/o JO. Foster more than makes up for any defensive loss we have w/o JO. I'm not sure if it's coaching or the players or what, but when JO plays they revert back to pounding it into him so he can shoot a 13 foot fadeaway. The ball movement is almost non-existent with him in.

I'm now in the trade JO camp. But from the interviews I've heard, JO's trade value is pretty low right now. I'd be happy with a couple expiring contracts, a non-protected pick and a legit backup 1. Time to revisit the Nets deal.

Playing Shawne Williams would be nice. Up his trade value.

last time they played that lineup (starting williams at 3, granger at 4) they had a great game. williams was in double figures i believe.

i liked the idea then and i like it now. murphy doesn't do enough IMO to start.

Why would we trade him? I think he has the most potential on this team outside of Ike Diogu. Granger is never going to be an all-star, sorry to tell you. Williams has proved himself a valuable scorer and shooter. His defense needs work, but he's 6'9" and incredibly athletic, so that's something that's easily improvable.
