That is still better than shooting 39% to score just 3 more ppg.

But I'd change:
2005 - Duncan was the best player
2013 - Duncan was the best player
2014 - Duncan was the 2nd best player
Precisely what I pointed out.

Care to argue why I am wrong? The only one that you could really question is Duncan 2014, but going by all advanced metrics, he was clearly the best Spur in that finals.
Kawhi played well... in the last 3 games, but didn't play very well in the first 2. Duncan was more consistent across the board and anchored the defense. LeBron also wasn't locked down contrary to popular belief on these forums and had a very nice finals showing. The rest of his team just didn't bring it.

Duncan has always been their best player IMO. His value has diminished over the years, but he's still always been the one player the Spurs would rather not lose over everyone else.

This is the correct answer (except for a poor 2011).

Your memory is very faulty.
2013 Finals
Parker 15.7 pts / 6.4 asst 41%
Leonard 14.6 pts / 11.1 rebs / 2 stl 51.3%
Duncan 18.9 pts / 12.1 rebs / 1.4 asst / 1.4 blks 49%
Green 14 pts / 4.1 rebs 44%
2014 Finals
Leonard 17.8 pts / 6.4 rebs / 2 asst / 1.6 stl 61.2%
Manu 14.4 pts / 3.0 rebs / 4.4 asst 50%
Parker 18 pts / 4.6 asst 47.9%
Duncan 15.4 pts / 10 rebs / 2 asst 56.9%
Duncan is still the most important, least replaceable player on the Spurs. They can more easily replace Parker (Mills, Joseph) and Manu (Green and Belli). Behind Duncan is Splitter (always injured), Diaw (disinterested, fat), Bonner (choker), Baynes and Ayres (Errors). I'd say Leonard is now equal in importance to the Spurs but he's been injured much of this season.
