Default Need Help compiling a list of Winningest centers please...

How about the top ten winningest centers? I'll start with what I know, and I hope you guys can add to the list of winningest centers. We can compare the best centers after I get some input on this list...

1. Bill Russell-11 rings
2. Kareem Abdul Jabbar-6 rings
3. Robert Parish-4 rings
4. Shaquille O'neal-4 rings
5. George Mikan-4 rings
6. Bill Cartwright-3 rings
7. Luc Longley-3 rings
7. Willis Reed-2 rings
8. Hakeem Olajuwon-2 rings
9. David Robinson-2 rings
10. Wilt Chamberlain-2 rings

Can anyone straighten this list out and put it in the right order? Am I missing anyone? What do you think would be the second stat after NBA championships to determine the order? Would it be Games won? Finals appearances?

i think the term "winningest" should mean percentage of games won. Obviously there shold also be a minimum games played qualifier, like 500 games or something.

That doesn't take playoff records into account, which is by far the most important.

They have 3 rings each, which is the first criteria for this list, I'm still trying to find a site that posts player win percentages, I'm thinking it'll go like this:
1. Championships
2. Finals appearances
3. Win percentage

What do you think? is this a good way to determine the ranking?

The best way to determine the winningest center is by individual stats. This game is won by individual accomplishments, not titles. Look at their stats, compare them to another, throw out the inflated stats, then compile a list of the winningest centers in NBA history.

I'll start you off by giving you a clue. Shaq is the winningest center of all-time.

Shaq has 11 rings? wow. Seriously, I meant individual win percentage.

Ok, Bulls has made a good comment here, I should have qualified my criteria.

1. Rings.
2. Finals appearances.
3. win percentage as a player.

Yeah, as a matter of fact, Horry is one of the winningest power forwards of all time. That would be the point of this thread, to determine the players who won the most titles, not the best in terms of individual accomplishments or awards, just winning.

After looking at basketball reference.com I realize that I have no business trying to calculate this information. thanks for your moderate interest and lack of utter derision. Thread closed.
