Re: Rank the Top 5 Greatest Lakers of All-Time
1.Magic
2.Kareem
3.Kobe
4.West
5.Baylor/Shaq (Baylor was individually as good, saved the LA franchise but Shaq won titles, dominated and was just as amazing, so I'm leaning on the big fella)

Chamberlain may not be a top-5 Laker, but in his five seasons, he guided FOUR teams to the Finals. In his first year, he led a Laker team to a team record for most wins. In his 4th season, he led the Lakers to their STILL best ever record, and a dominating world title (their first ever in LA) in which he won the FMVP (while West had his worst post-season of his career.) He also won FOUR rebounding titles, THREE FG% titles (including the best season ever), and was voted first-team all-defense twice.
Not bad for his five year run in LA...

Rambis was a good player.
The top five is indisputable:
1-Magic
2-Kareem
3-Kobe
4-Shaq
5-West

How could you not have Shaq ranked higher if all you went by was impact on the franchise?
He comes in for 8 years, they go to 4 Finals and win 3 titles.
He leaves and they are in the lottery.

Magic Johnson, Jerry West, and Shaquille O'Neal have said Kobe is the greatest Laker ever. I think Magic said that Kobe's tied with him, the rest said Kobe is the best.
