I don't see how a team can potentially win the National Title and not even win their win conference.
Yes, that's why there should be a playoff system, IMO. Then, USC and LSU would be prevalent, which I believe to be the two best teams. Hopefully someone can jump ahead of Georgia, but probably not. Who knows, maybe Georgia wins. I hope they end up like Florida of last year.
I don't see how anyone on the planet can deny college football's need for some sort of playoff after this year. Unless you have a year like 2005 when UT and USC both stood head and shoulders over the competition, it's impossible to pick out the best two teams.
Tennessee beat Georgia by 21 points. There's no justifiable way that Georgia gets in over LSU. The polls will show it tomorrow.
the way the guy explained it yesterday on the radio.. (i may ramble a bit so be patient) is georgia did not play today, the computers are locked on them, this was implemented last year after a team a couple years ago lost a couple places in the standings after their last game.
so they implemented a rule that locks a teams previous rankings after their final game to stop any adjustments from happening or as the guy on the radio said to stop the chance that any tom foolery could take place...
now it can be adjusted by strength of schedule still, so the question will be will the voters and computers decide if LSU's victory today was so impressive that it warrants that big a jump... in essence if the win is big enough to say tennesse is a quality win for LSU, then georgia's loss to them is a loss to a quality team and it won't be as big a loss as say to an unranked team
