Default Suns/Nuggets trade idea

Marcus Camby for the Suns recently-acquired $8 million trade exception and Atlanta's 2008 1st round pick.

I think the Nugs would do this in a second and Camby would fit in great with the Suns. Too bad the Suns don't want to go over the LT.

For the Suns, that would equate giving up THREE first-rounders for Marcus Camby. Silly.

They gotta keep that pick, even though they probably won't.

The Suns traded Kurt Thomas to cut salary in order to not pay more luxury tax. They aren't going to get another 8 million dollar player.

The Suns are f'd up as it is. They traded away all their draft picks, minus Atlanta's next year. When Nash retires in two years and Marion leaves they'll find it hard to build as they only have Alando Tucker and D.J. Strawberry to show for the last 4 years of drafts.

Not interested.

It would be nice to have one draft pick to look forward to and/or one player in the rotation who's not an injury concern.

Exactly they are trying to free up cap space.

They'd have Amare to build around too.

Building around Amare is scary. I'm not sold on him as a leader at all. He almost quit at the beginning of last year because he was having a tough time.

Every good team builds and produces homegrown players. Amare, Barbosa and Diaw won't be enough to even get the Suns in the playoffs.
